Overview of the role

Mejuri’s recruiting manager is an advocate of the company culture and recruits people who embody it. This person will develop strategies and tactics that enable our team to do their best at Mejuri. This is the first role in People Operations, so we’re looking for someone who’ll take the lead, is well organized, passionate, and excited to be one of the founding members of this department.

The recruiting manager will partner with management to create and implement new and differentiated processes for recruitment of the top talent that’ll support our accelerated growth and customer-centric ethos. He/she will also lead onboarding and ensuring that we provide the best experience for new and existing talent.

Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Work with management to create talent acquisition strategies and tactics that help identify and attract talent that matches Mejuri’s culture and supports Mejuri’s growth trajectory
  • Own the end to end candidate experience
  • Design and launch an internship program
  • Work with managers to create job postings
  • Source qualified candidates and lead targeted searches
  • Screen and identify qualified candidates
  • Prepare offer letters and conduct reference checks
  • Work with managers to set up robust and engaging onboarding processes for different business units

Other HR activities

  • Cultivate and maintain Mejuri culture across the organization
  • Create with management’s support new policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with policies and legal
  • Support leaders with managing their teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in recruiting
  • Deep understanding in running end to end recruitment process
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing creative approaches to sourcing and attracting talent
  • Interest in being part of a high growth company
  • Self-starter and understands the sense of urgency in a fast moving environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience in a previous high growth startup is a major plus
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in employment laws
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting screening phone and in-person interviews
  • A believer and an advocate of company culture
  • Handles sensitive information with ultimate discretion
